All I think about when I consider the pilot mission is Blackhawk Down. Except we'd be defending an APC instead.

The first crash site, not the second one though.

Do we need buckets to catch the bbs?

after watching the teaser trailer for this year, i decided to look for crackers (because the FF love them) and got 2 large boxes of them and 11 little kool aid bottles for around $3. If the FF dont like that i will be surprised. i think the night ops patrol is just as dangerous as the VIP and the pilot, but thats ok, we are spec ops and know what we are getting ourselves into

You're the man. This is starting to look really good.

The good thing about the night ops patrol will be easy and hard.... easy cause we have a dark night (no full moon, just a sliver) and can hide better from the enemy. hard cause of the route (especially AA defense corner).

I got cheapo NVGs. Double eye single screen. 50-100 footers. The MW2 novelty ones. If you want me to bring them out, they're full seal, and a bb is definately not getting through them

Will they work over goggles? I'd say bring them if yes, but I'd hate for you(or anyone) to be wearing NVGs all night, especially when someone flashes a flashlight directly at their face.

It doesn't hurt too bad with these. They're cheap. I've tried it before and its really not a big deal.

Basically, they have a single camera screen that you look at with both eyes. The technology is just a tad better than the NV on a common camera. If there is some moonlight, it should help me see a little farther, and it should pick up sources of light (glowsticks) at least 200 ft away.

Speaking of glowsticks, do we need to buy those for ourselves? or are certain ones provided?

No glowsticks/lights for "dead lights" are provided.

Gander had a neat bike light that had 360 degree lighting for about $5 that I threw some velcro on for my helmet.

Would a headlamp work?

If it's a red light I guess it might. But something with somewhat 360 degrees would be advisable, seeing as while walking a person could mistake you for a living person if your "dead light" isn't visible.

Admin

They'll see the red light dont worry. At least I hope they do. Haha
